Happy Holidays
Happy holidays to my readers.
We may be small, but we are mighty, and I will never forget the people who showed up here early, quietly, and consistently.
I’m just getting started. And I want to be honest: the last few months have been some of the hardest of my life. It’s been a difficult year for many of us. But through all of it, one thing has remained steady, a belief in community and a responsibility to protect it.
Campaigning taught me something that stuck with me long after the signs came down: community is the core of everything. Not titles. Not platforms. People. Trust. Showing up, especially when it’s uncomfortable.
With challenge came resilience. In moments when it felt like everything was closing in, something else opened up, clarity about what matters and the courage to keep going.
During one of the hardest seasons of my life, I launched a podcast. I worked alongside local school boards and unions. I became part of a startup nonprofit giving directly back to children. And along the way, my voice, our voice, began reaching further than I ever imagined, across the Central Valley and beyond.
Flor Unmuted is growing. And next year, it grows with intention. With collaboration. With people who believe this work should serve more than one interest, one room, or one moment. I invite you to stay with me
This has never been about competition. It’s about community. It’s about the future we’re shaping, and who we’re shaping it for.
Thank you for being here. I’m here to stay. The work continues.
